As you may know the VAFA has introduced Women’s Competition in its league and it's now the biggest Women's League in Australia. Over recent months, our club has been approached by a number of enthusiastic families of present and past players, and from our affiliated Junior Club, Parade St Damians to ask for support to establish a team in the Competition.
Our members love and enjoy being involved in a club that is part of the VAFA and a culture that encourages and supports a young person to be the best they can be both on and off the field.
It’s no secret that the Parade environment whether it is the Old Paradians' Football Club, the Association or the College itself, has a strong family and community commitment. As a club, we also have a wish for women to have the opportunity to start or continue their football careers in a club such as ours.
It is with great pleasure that we invite of ALL current and potential female footballers along with anyone who wishes to be involved in any other capacity to express their interest in being part of the Old Paradians' Association Amateur Football Club in 2019.
The structure of the Women’s Competition will be of open age with a minimum age requirement of 16 to participate. The club is proposing to enter a team in the Development League of the VAFA competition which will focus on participation. This League is open to female footballers of varied skill levels and experiences.
To express your interest please complete the short questionnaire at the following site: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LBJ8RV5.
